I saw that but wanted to see if he was still around. I removed the exhaust manifold and found 1 pit on the front cylinder exhaust. I'll pressurize the manifold today and apply some heat on the pit to see if its leaking there.

Went to check the gauge today and everything was perfect. Still at 15 psi so the cooling system is fine. I replaced the cap with another one (used) I had until I receive the new ones.

The engine is a 6hp so I'll remove it and launch the dinghy over the side and install the engine on the swim platform. The dinghy is only 77 pounds.

I have a small issue with the other engine. I keep coolant levels on the reservoirs exactly on the "full" mark. After using the boat both reservoir's level is over the "full" mark. Starboard engine goes back to the mark but port engine always is 3/4"-1" below the mark and I have to be topping it off...

Cruising at 2800 is 15-16 knots, 3000 is 17 knots, 3200 is 19 knots, 3400 is 21 knots, 3600 is 23 knots and 3800 is 25-26 knots. No idea, I cleaned the other side today and it was worst. I do have exhaust leak on both, I tested them today with water and soap but I haven't run the engines enough for this buildup to happen. Maybe the PO had exhaust leaks and never cared for them.

GOOOOOOOOOD NEWS!!!!! The issue is the tachometer. Yesterday I switched them around and the issue moved to the other engine. I’m going to order 2 new tachometers. Will seatrial again and report back. Yes but this was sludge. I’ve heard of the method you mentioned but for turbo “maintenance”.

This piece connects the pressure hose between the manifold, block where the boost gauge goes and the injection pump's aneroid.

I think I found the issue. A 1/8 hole in the line between the engine and the pump’s aneroid creating a pressure leak so the aneroid is not opening the pump for more fuel. I’ll post pics tonight.

This wasn’t the issue. I drained around 100 gallons from this tank and will refuel tomorrow. I will do another test with the new fuel and will report back but I'm thinking it has something to do with the boost of the turbo, this engine got very wet with the PO.

I was able to filter the fuel yesterday, almost 6 hrs replacing the racor every hour. Micky, One of the basics is making sure the throttle arm on engine is hitting the stop on WOT. Second is remove feed line at racor and blow back thru tank. Half the issue is solved. By replacing the racor the stbd engine went up to 3200 rpm. I didn’t change the engine filter as the diesel was clear there. Port engine reached 3800 without issues, even pulling the other engine at 3200. Topped 25 knots this way. Any suggestions?? I bought biobor and will ...

Came back to the boat and changed the racors. The diesel on that engine’s tank is very dark and cloudy sondrained about 5 gallons from the bottom of the tank just in case it had water, the other tank is clear. Also checked the diesel on the engines fuel filter and both were clear.
