The advice I received years ago was that an orbital is a finish tool, that I needed to use an angle grinder for heavy work.
I think you’re looking at angle grinder time vs. a random orbital sander. 36 grit wheel to start with. Good luck.

Peter, could be drug related. There was a twin diesel north coast 31 near me that was stolen. Story was the guy that stole it owed money to a drug runner. Mark is a buddy of mine I was just kidding around with him. I think they were down there for 7 or 8 days. I’m sure he had his share of the cold drinks but it wasn’t a weekend trip. Form what I read on here the fishing was pretty darn good as well.

My boat had zincs on the rudders when I got it. Replaced them when doing my bottom and never thought about not having them. Seems like cheap insurance.
