Yes Charlie, ur right, no intercooler. Its only 260 hp. And Bruce told me where it would have been, and it wasnt there.
I'm headed down now to look and take it for a ride. Bruce was gracious enough to give me his phone number, but i wont bother him unless its absolutely necessary.
thanks,

3208T sooty exhaust, starboard side

Hi, I noticed on a trip, that the starboard engine was smoking a little, the brownish color at 2200 rpm. Below that, no smoke, just runs normal. But right about 2200 or above, i can see it. At 2400 and above its black smoke. not the brownish color. I replaced the air filter. It was not like this las...

Hello: Last year I filled up the fuel tank, and with 3208t's, the exhaust was already under water. I then had 5 adults and 2 chests loaded with ice, plus all the other things you need for a tournament. I was scared to death to see how the boat was going to handle. It was my first year with the boat....

Thank you gentlemen. I will explore all possibilities, starting with the easiest first. I think it is ATF he has in there. I remember him telling me spare fluid for steering was there, and it was Texaco ATF, not hydraulic fluid. grrrrrrrrr.

Hope to see you in Greenport.

I just checked my engines with the IR gun. One was running at 190 the other 185 cruising. That was by the guages.

The IR gun says both were running the same temp.....170 degrees.
Idling along, they went down to 150 degrees.
Run it Frank, and maybe no problem. I have the same engines as you do.

Rawleigh;
i thought most diesels did have blowby because of the compression being high. But i guess I could take the hoses off the PCV canisters to check. But I think they get reburned again? You would think the amount this thing used, it would be seen, even if just a little.
Thanks, bob k
