Rocky

On the 31 with Gas engines, there are two ignition switches on the bulkhead under the wheel. The start buttons are part of the instrument panel.

There are tow main breakers in the Cabin on the FBC. These serve to kill the power to the engines and the switches.

Not sure if the loran will work after this year. I heard the normal loran was going down some time in October. I think they will be rolling out digital system but I am not sure if anyone even makes a unit to pick up the new signals.

You should have insurance. If you have an umbrella policy they usually want to make sure all your coverages are up to snuff.

God forbid someone gets hurt on the boat and sues you.

You really need it to cover your self from the legal aspect of this world. Loosing the boat is another story.

Bob No matter how many rods you had to remove or how many women were around you, you loved it. Nothing better than sharing the boat with the family. Consider your self lucky. Your family enjoys the boat. If they didn't you probably wouldn't have the family or possibly the boat. Its all great memories.

For the corner exhaust, check out the pictures of John Cranston boat. I believe his come out the corners.

I prefer the bronze look also. Less chance of cracking them, plus they look like they really belong there.

The small block was standard and the upgrades depending on the year were big blocks and diesels.

For a period of time in the 60's Chrysler was an option.

I have similar pricing and option info for a 75 FBC. IN 75 the diesel option was the 555 cummins.

Nothing special about those fuses. Standard fuses you can buy in Hardware store. I had a couple on my 1975 31. Two for the bilge pumps, two for the engines. None protecting the feed to the DC circuite breaker panel. That was just a standard home panel also.
