Only cure that I know actually works is to get an Ozone generator. Close the area off, leave it tight and come back a couple of hours later. Air the place out and its gone.

I know you can buy an Ozone generator not sure if anyone rents them.

Mine ran a little more than that but that also included, guages, block heaters, harness, oil change hand pump on the engine. I have the 270's and I ordered them two years ago and probably a couple of price increases after you purchased yours.

My 75 had the 454 Mercs in them and the borg warners were 1.5:1 spinning a 18x19 prop. A friend used to have a 68 that had the chrysler's and he spun a 17 in prop but the tranny was still 1.5:1 if this helps.

No the doors hit the seat. Poor design I know. If I remember right, some time around 1980, I thought they split the door in half and put a piano hinge in the middle so it folded back on itself.

I might be wrong, but some how I remember them doing that.

I just put the 270 recons in mine. Basically the same engine as yours. We put on 20x23 and right now its a little light so we will put some cup in it over the winter. I am turning 2750. Should be 2600.

I didn't. I figured that since my seat is original it would be time to go for a new one. Plus, going with one of the new styles would mean replacing them all. I figured not worth it.
