Bob Lico... I would never have thought about using PVC (Azek is one of several brand names) for my boat until I read Captain Patrick's Boatbuilder's Tips writeup on it. Now I use it everywhere I can. It isn't strong enough for a bulkhead or anything structural, but for repairs, building things where...

John... Before I decided to repaint my B33 FBC I called two marine paint mfgrs to ask about painting their two part paints over the unknown single part paint the previous owner applied with a roller (no tipping. just the roller). Both told me to buy a small can of their recommended solvent, saturate...

The story in Maine, where they have heavy fog often is that the old timer fishermen practice "potato navigation" when returning to their home harbor. They put a boy with a pail of potatoes up in the bow, and whenever the captain orders the boy throws a potato as far as he can, dead ahead. If the cap...

Stainless rubrail installation question

My '83 FBC has the Velocijet exhaust system as well. There is a tangential outlet from the mufflers that diverts most of the gas exhaust to the side outlets. We B33 owners call the side outlets "mail slots". There is no need to buy replacement mail slots! I suspect that yours are probably cracked an...
