My boat has factory installed strips of thin copper about 1" wide running along two stringers from the engine room forward to under the V berth. On a few occasions I have been trying to post something on this site and after signing in and completing the text and hitting the "Submit" button I am rerouted back to the "sign in" page where I am told I have to sign in in order to post something. Around here, there used to lots of new boat sales businesses, and when the general economy went south about 5-6 years ago they seemed to fail one by one. When I took the course to get my license one of the first things the instructor told us is in cases of reduced visibility (rain, smoke, fog, darkness, etc, etc) was to reduce your speed until you could be sure to stop within the distance you could see.
