I have weighed the old interior bulkheads and the new ones(dyvinicell with 2 layers of 17oz each side) and I am saving some weight. Dont plan on having any of the galley cabinets and heavy fiberglass or AC(boat is going to Panama so need low maint.) Motors are Yanmar 240STP and there is enough clear...

I dont know when the last time I posted, but have decided to go with an open layout-head front port. Reinforced bridge with a carbon fiber beam and will go with two support posts at the rear bulkhead either side of the walkway. Built the window frames myself and they will retain a fixed glass panel ...

This is what I did on my 28. 6"pvc pipe and elbow to make a mold. I then followed Capt Pat's insructions and recommendations to fab up the baffles. Hello, I have a '78 B28 and have made a few modifications. Did not like the cockpit configuration or the engine boxes. I cut the step in the middle and fabricated new boxes which will hinge on the stern end. Am repowering with Yanmars(240hp). I have some photos-see link: http://photobucket.com/28pro...

my deck had similar problems. the fiberglass "liner" seemed to be a separate piece that was bonded to the underside of the deck in the v berth and was bonded only in part as you can see. I removed it and reglassed with biax, added some high density dyvinicell for hardware fastening, and some pvc pip...

I'm ready to paint the bilge and have chosen the Rustoleum two part epoxy 9100. My question is in regards to preparing for the paint but really applies in general to basic secondary bonding. I have painstakingly scuffed, sanded and abraded every square inch of the bilge in order to get the best bond...
