Hello there guys, Just wondering if anyone knows of a 31 fishing out of Kona Hawaii? I’ll be there this week into next, and would love to book at least a short day on one. Ahh, yes thanks Bruce. I noticed Volvo Penta too now. I’d think as long as closed cooling system is used, that 5.3 would make really good numbers, and for a very long time.

My condolences to his family.

Maybe I’m missing something here, but won’t you hear the 1200CFM of air being ingested from this cockpit area? Bob L., do you hear that noise on your Pheonix? Then again it’s relatively drier air taken from cockpit, so the moisture eliminators make sense if taking air from Capt Pat’s design.

While we are on the subject of what type to go into cables, cable life is formulated to live inside the housings. (Why I suggested Cablife).
But I suppose any good lubricant should work also.

Hi Kaizmoto,
Welcome to the site!
On my '70 FBC, it was in the "belly" of the boat, midships and slightly to Starboard side very near fresh water tank and forward of it.(Long Bronze Handle). The 31s did not typically have a stern garboard drainplug.

Hi JR,
Get the gallon. (Or 2qts because it's expensive).
The idea is to over cover after Alexseal is applied. Then vacuum it up after 12 hours.
You cannot apply too much, but you will see if your too light. So key is when in doubt, more.
