Good eye Randall !
The original GT40 was 40" tall, the repop a little taller. The new height makes it a little easier for a non race car driver with a fat wallet to get into.
But the lines are pretty much the same.

Back these nuts off. They will not come off, they are attached to the check valves. Once loose, they wi...

Major, Bill Fuller might chime in, he has 240's in his 28' and no problem with air intake. He has speed, range and economy. He would have to give you his #'s. I on the other hand have 170's in my 28'. I have range and economy. My cruising speed is 16-18 kts with 22-23 kts tops fully loaded. If your ...

Our 28 FBC didn't have a lower station when we bought it. I couldn't be happier. We would have lost alot of storage without the starboard locker, we carry a lot of Sh*t when we go out. We have a three sided enclousure of grey strataglass (protects from the Sun) and no weather problems (we don't leav...

Bait Tank
Depending on what size tank we're talking about that is alot of weight mounted that far aft.
I have a custom OffShore 65 gal. tank located at the step up on my B28. I can't imagine 455 lbs. less bait on the transom.
If you'd like I could e-mail pics.

I have the Yanmar 170'S in my 28 . It's not a rocket ship, 17 to 19 kts. at 2900 RPM is the speed I cruise at fully loaded for fishing. 3400 RPM'S is WOT. Out here because of conditions I can't always cruise at that speed. Bill Fuller has the 240'S in his 28. Maybe he'll chime in. I'm very pleased w...
