Good eye Randall !

The original GT40 was 40" tall, the repop a little taller. The new height makes it a little easier for a non race car driver with a fat wallet to get into.

But the lines are pretty much the same.

Think UV hit it on the head. Friend had a stainless half tower on his 28',
kept cracking @ the welds. Replaced it with alum.

I have Oversea Ins., the underwriter is Zurich. I'm in Calif. but noticed on their card they are also in FL. (954) 522 2262.

I also tried Boat Useless , but they wouldn't insure a 1975 28' for what I wanted.

Your going to love the AP16. Put one on my boat 1 1/2 yrs. ago. No more driving the boat. Upswell - downswell no problem.

Plug in a way point on along run hit Nav and away you go! Or in the bays us auto mode and the buttons.

Major, Bill Fuller might chime in, he has 240's in his 28' and no problem with air intake. He has speed, range and economy. He would have to give you his #'s. The primary environmental concern with your sewage is not the urine (which is basically sterile) .

As I understand it, you can take a leak off the end of your dock, but if all you have in the holding tank is urine, you cannot discharge it.

Am I reading this correctly, I don't want to get fined.

I see what you mean about the height, that would be a concern.

On my B28 the Paneltronics panel is located just inside the door to port on the "Head" bulkhead. It is flush mounted in the cabin, it's about 2" deep in the head. It's an AC-DC panel.

If I was in the market for a fuel tank, I would contact Danny @ High Tide Marine and check out their fiberglass tank. With fiberglass you don't have the worries of corrosion or cracks which lead to leaking fuel.

Just my .02 centavos.

Bait Tank

Depending on what size tank we're talking about that is alot of weight mounted that far aft.

I have a custom OffShore 65 gal. tank located at the step up on my B28. I can't imagine 455 lbs. less bait on the transom.

I have the Yanmar 170'S in my 28 . It's not a rocket ship, 17 to 19 kts. at 2900 RPM is the speed I cruise at fully loaded for fishing. 3400 RPM'S is WOT. I've seen here in SoCal the use of ground up Wanut shells used as a stripper in place of sand. (Now I'm talking cars) Sand is brutal on sheet metal where as the Walnut media is not.

Why wouldn't it work on a boat?
