I can't reach them.
Two emails to their site. A phone call comes back with a Verizon Wireless message that they are unavailable.
Are they still in business?
Who else makes similar parts?
Time to do it from the bulkhead aft.

Lights Come on When I Hit the Switch
I don't often post, but I have to say it. I look at all the posts and think about how valuable Pat's efforts are to all of us, yet few support it they way it deserves. Turn on your lights, flush your toilet...it all works. So does Bertram31.com. Doesn't matter if is 0200 and you feel awful. Doesn't ...

Here's what I have found: The alternator and idler pulley bearings seem fine. I can't really get a feel for the compararative tension of the idlers (PT vs. STBD) due clearance on the sttbd side. My engines are so close to the bulkhead that I am considering cutting access holes in the bulkhead to acc...

So what is the best 'bang' for the support of our troops? I give significantly to the USO because I am confident that most all of my donated buck goes to services for our troops. Bob Hope was the best. Now we have others, Robin Williams, Angelina Jolie are just a couple that come to mind. They show ...

6BTA Belt Tensioner
My STBD belt started screeching when the alternator was was under load. Pt. one is OK. I'm going to replace belts over the winter but wondered if the tensioner was getting weak. What has been the experience with them? My 6BTA 270's were mfd. in 11/2001. They only have about 1,050 hrs. I wonder if it...

CX Again
I have vintage (1977) Bertram walnut Formica. Cloudy as could be. It has been three months after a quick wipe down with CX. It looks as good as it ever will and hasn't changed all summer. All I did was use the rag from wiping the tower to wipe it and then wiped it with a shop towel - one of the blue...

Speaking of fuel filters...I installed Racor 900's with the Racor priming pumps on my 6BTA 270's. Pumps were expensive...about $400 each side. Makes primary filter change really easy. The assemby becomes pretty tall because the pump is just above the bowl. I still have to fill the final filter and h...

Russ, Consider Petit Vivid. The boat can be hauled and launched. It doesn't seem to mind being out of the water. You can mix any color. Rocky, My comments are directed to diesel installation. I prefer the fill on the stbd. rail with the vent adjacent. The fuel pump is in the tank. When mine was on the way out it sounded more like something hydraulic running rather than a whistling sound. It would also continue to run after you turned the key off. I guess it was still trying to build correct pressure. That pump, from a dealer, is about a $500 part.
