With the work going on with the new boat I have a question re: the bottom. the bottom has been blasted and there are no problems.the boat will be on a lift so do I really need a bottom paint such as Micron 33. My friend bought a stag arms AR-15. the receiver is marked 5.56X45,my DPMS is marked 5.56MM and .223.I thought I read some where,the rifleman?, that the two rounds were not interchangeable and could lead to problems. any one know. Bruce are you there?...Thanks Russ

thanks guys, the bertram hatch is great. the one on my present boat is fine. the new boat has glassed in front window, so the cabin is dark, and the v berth is even darker. the idea of putting a glass panel in the exsiting hatch sounds good .thanks Russ

I agree with John spray the hell out of it. when I removed mine it took full day to remove the four machine screws, stainless steel screws into aluminum body.When reinstalling use tef-gel on the threads. it will make it easier next time.
