How could you do this????!!!! That is it. Capt. Pat, throw him out! Kidding apart, that is one heck of a boat you got now. For me is a second best after a 31. Are you planning to change those DD 6v92? If so, what power? Have read that desirable power would be: Cummins Diamond 450 with 25 x 28 (3) bl...

Re: 1 3/8 Aquamet shaft
Tony: It is for a Yanmar 170 setup in B31. Old engines were Crusaders with Borg Warners. Old shafts will not be long enough for the Yannies. We measured the length of the shafts of another 31 with Yannies 170 and it was 88.5. I do not know if you can play with the engines (move them back for example)?

I may need two 1(3/8) aquamet 22 shafts of at least 88.5". What would be the ball park price for the two (not including shipping)?

Keep us updated with your decision on the engines. If I ever go up, my choice will be a 37 and will upgrade the engines with Cummins or Yanmars. It is still a boat that I can handle alone and/or with my wife.

You are correct, main problem is in the valve cover, intake manifolds and aroun crankcase.

The mechanic specifically told me about that one. Now I'm feeling that I'm doing the correct thing.

Faithful: Both my Crusaders 454's are leaking small amounts of oil from many of its gaskets and seals (if not all).
