Just my $.02 but....rotella only gave my cat engine 10 years of life. This is in my rig but...after 1.1 million miles in a 1999 Peterbilt, my cat C12 finally bit the dust earlier this year. It had been inframed at about 450k miles when it blew a head gasket. I had almost no oil use at each oil chang...

Just FYI... I've got a similar engine on my 22 Cobia walkaround. It's an OX66, fuel injected, saltwater series 200hp yamaha. For my first big outboard I have to say it's been a great engine. However....always a however....after about a year and a half, the hot engine alarm went off while warming it ...

Well,....
shouldn't cost to much...the crate motor only cost me about $25000 when I blew a hole in the block of my C12 in my rig. I guess if you can afford the boat you can afford the bills. :)

Own an 06 2500 2wd. Almost a work truck set up but with auto trans, air, carpet, and cloth seats. Only had it for a year now and love it. Has a K&N induction pipe and filter on it and a 5 in exhaust with a flow through muffler. Previous owner installed. Looks like a school bus pipe coming out the ba...

Help identify brand. Not bertram unfortunately.

Sorry to post this here but I thought with the knowledge on this board someone would know what this is. Found this on craigslist... http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/1315640907.html It looks like an Anacapri to me. The price seemed right if it is a Blackfin. I still looking to start a project with...

Closings

Here in St. Augustine, Luhrs closed the factory and said they were combining most (maybe all) powerboat production in the New Jersey plant. Most locals think the waterfront spot they have will be sold when the economy turns around and made into $million+ condos or a luxury marina type place. Only ti...

Another call to Zero Cavity...

On your 20, where did you get the windshield? Anyone know of any sources to get the frame/plexiglass. I guess it's plexiglass. Wouldn't be my first mistake. Leaning to getting a 20 to get my 1st Bertram resto underway. thanks as always.

20 bert on ebay

Anything I need to be careful of on that 20 up for bid? If I'm looking at a complete tear down/rebuild I guess the bugs will show themselves or crawl out on their own. I was considering making it a center console since it seems it is only the bare bones of the boat. That leads me too... If y...

31 Express on Craigs list Miami

Well, I was looking for a cheap starting price project. Long term resto doesn't bother me too much. I know I've seen this boat on ebay a year or more ago but thought it was sold. Based on the pictures, besides free (to get it out of your way) what's a decent price? If I don't get it maybe someone el...

Thanks.

Thanks, I was wondering. It looks great on the trailer. There are so many big boats on trailers these days. I wasn't sure if a 31 would work or not. Good call on preparing for the hurricane escape though.

how about that trailer

Hi John, New to the 31 world. I was wondering about your trailer and the possibility of trailering these boats. I don't think it's legal without an oversize permit but, if no one stops you then you don't need to worry about it. Unless the trailer is just to move it around to different shops while wo...

You're probably right.

Well, I know I shouldn't buy it but that thought of getting a $100000+ Bertram (once repaired) for under $500 is hard to turn on. But, all you guys have been there and done that on these boats. So, I'll wait for another basket case that wasn't at the hot dog roast. thanks guys.

burn out

Well, new guy here. I have 1 day now to decide if I'm going to dive into this thing. I was considering building a cold molded boat until I saw this ad. I was thinking...if I'm going to build a boat wouldn't this one be partially started and it's a classic. A lot of plans I've seen don't give the lin...
