Bruce-

You may want to direct your questions to someone at Houston Plating, www.houstonplating.com. I don't have any personal knowledge about nickel plating processes, but understand the company specializes in them.

Like the others have said about owning a 31', it's about being a steward of a classic. My boat is 40 years old and still gets compliments on the dock. I also echo Capt Pat's suggestion about having Pete and Bruce conduct your surveys. Although I bought my boat from a member of this board and was thu...

I had thought 232 gal would be plenty for me too. However, on my last trip out to the Ledge, I used 188 gal in fairly sporty sea conditions. I like to keep about 30 gal in reserve, so that was cutting it a little too close to my 200 gal limit.

Saddle Tanks

Dear all, Where is the best location to mount saddle tanks on a 31? The gassers in my boat are in good shape. I installed a 232gal Polumac tank last year, but still need some additional range to be able to fish the Gulf Stream out of St. Augustine and get back to the dock with a decent reserve. Anot...

And as perhaps the lone Gator fan on this board, let me just say Alabama played well and deserved the win. Stewing over the shellacking Tim delivered last year obviously paid off.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you catch the BM on? Several marlin were caught over here in St. Augustine earlier this year (by others I'm sad to say) on a blue and white C&H American Express.

For what it's worth, the price on the FB tank Richard Kidd sells for the B31 has dropped. I orderd the 230 gal tank from him about two weeks ago for $4,300, shipping to St. Aug. included. You may want to give him a call.
