Tunawish... One of the guys in the building where I am working on my boat just bought a bunch of 14" wide 4/4 teak to make covering boards for a 1960 Merritt he is working on. Beautiful stuff.. no blemishes.. perfect! If he's got 14" wide stock 90% it will be Burmese....Very rare if we see anything...

I used some of it to build a teak sliding door and some to do the face framing and trim for the new cabinets I des...

SXSW in Texas
Do any of you in Texas know of the SXSW Music Conference held in the streets of Austin next week?? The record label my 20 yo son is interning with, was invited to attend and they want him to work the conference for them. Apparently it's a big deal for the industry and for such a small label to be in...

Mike, Your right about the tools and that's the first thing they said when I called them, But I had them look up the invoice.. I had ordered 6 sets of SS philips tips from them with the order.. They sent replacement screws but I've lost confidence in the product and never put them back on the boat..

When I called them with bleeding complaints they admitted they had started outsourcing overseas. The 316L from China is not always the same as 316L from her...

Mark, I've seen it flipped on her sides as Walter said... Stiffen between the gunnels with securely wedged in boards first then use old tires to prevent outsides of hull from being damaged...less height to overcome and tires cushion boat while on it's side for everyone to slowly reposition to opposi...
