Peter, It would take me 2 hrs. to type that much. I agree with everything you stated, I just didn't know how Kevin was measuring the voltages. As long as it was back to the generators ground wire, and not to the boats bond, (I don't know if there connected) all should he correct.

Your right about that Charlie, I've done that one. I guess it is better to roll it in right when installing though. The mistake you don't want to make is swapping the inlet with the outlet, not as hard as it sounds on a reverse rotation motor, I've done that one too!

Looking from the rear to the front, the starboard engine will turn clockwise and the port will be counter clockwise. I am taking it you have a counter rotating engine and not reversing direction with the transmission.

That's a documentation number, not hull number. Your boat was documented at one time. Net 6 means the weight class, 6 ton, but I thought net 8 was the lowest. If you can verify the documentation, it will be the best title proof you can have.

I have the Garmin 2010C, it's the best piece of electronic equipment I have. I also have Raymarine stuff, but Garmin is easier to use and is better quality as far as I'm concerned. To bad there Radar is not up to snuff, they don't even offer an open array.

Tony Athens has a lot of good info. on diesel filtration, most of which is posted on Boat Diesel. As I recall he recommends straight filtration over racors, it's well worth the $25 to look through the site, second only to this one in my opinion.
