Thanks Patrick, after the dust settles I'll look him up. Hopefully it'll be up this weekend.
Rocket, nice project boat.
Right now I'm getting ready to drive the high banks of Daytona. The Porsche has a blown motor so the Miata will have to do. Good way to get your mind off of life!

Re: Bertram 25 site
Greetings to everyone, yes the b25 forum is still down and hopefully we'll get it up and running in a few days. The last month has been a little overwhelming as Linda & I are no longer a team and it's hard to get her to help with the site. She has all the passwords and the knowledge I don't. Hopeful...

I'm sure polyester resin would work but it would be a rather large hole if it fails. Spend the money on epoxy resin

The trick for getting your paint to lay down & shine is proper thinning and conditioning the paint. A easy way to see if it's thinned enough is to use the stir stick trick. After removing the stir stick let the paint roll off and wait for it to start dripping. Usually 12 to 15 drips is a good mix, o...

Kevin, The way the Pursuit is laid out the port engine water pump impeller is a real bear to change and lesser mechanics will not go through the hassle to replace it. Last one I did I had to remove to left front motor mount to get it done. Make sure he buys good quality impellers and replace them be...

A second option would be a Hamilton Jet Drive. I've been turning wrenches at Hinckley Yachts in Stuart and the jet drives are super simple, low draft and easy to maintain. I haven't got to run one yet but with a little baby thruster they spin & turn on a dime. I wouldn't put them in my boat but they...

Kevin, 3116's are also known to crack exhaust manifolds, don't overheat them. The 3126's are a better choice. I just attended Cat School and there are dozens of versions of the 3116, if they made it this far they are runners and should be fine. Contact your Cat dealer or service center with the comp...

Frank, as Patrick described prep for non skid. For a 100% pro finish mix 50% fine & 50% coarse non skid material in a conventional spray gun. Roll on the paint to be non skidded and spray the nonskid material over the wet paint. After it dries blow off the excess material and your done. I know it's ...

The airport down here won't sell avgas unless it's going in a plane. We could get leaded 94, 100 and 112 octane at the track. Some Sunoco stations have leaded racing gas 100 octane but for a dollar or two more I could get 112. It doesn't come cheap, between 7.50 and 9.50 a gallon and I get around 8 ...

Mixing Ethanol and NON-Ethanol Gas
Has anyone heard of problems mixing ethanol and non-ethanol gas in a car. When were at the track we use 94 octane ethanol free gas but on the street were forced to use the blended gas. I would think you would be dilutung the ethanol gas but who knows.
Thanks,
