Yes, but never use epoxy on a exhaust tube. Use polyester as epoxy does not like the heat.

We have a 31 and a 25 both bob and weave at anchor. I figure it's the deep V hull doing it's thing. We now use a Bahama rig. We rig our anchor between the bow and quarter cleat to keep the boat on a slight angle to the wind and she rests pretty even.

If the paint is wet the jacks will slide right out. If you want to jump stands wait a day to let the paint dry and move the stand with a piece of wax paper over the pad to protect the new paint.

Last month I worked on a 400 ft mega yacht "ICE". There was a simming pool about the size of this garage with a waterfall filter system flowing off the transom. It had a retractable deck that sunk to 6' Just lower the deck for swimming and raise it for entertaining. All it takes is Money!!!

Stick with the flax packing! It's been used for years with excelent results, The gore packing works good for rudders but I would still use flax packing.

Lewis marine sells them. With gassers I think you need the exhaust branch Y, 2 4" to 5 " exit. These should be easy to find locally they are a commonly used for wet exhaust.

The shaft may never have been centered in the bronze shaft log. Just pushing the engine over is not necessarly the answer. The 25 has a glassed in deck and it sits real close to the stringers on the moppie, flybridge and hardtop. The old express and bahia mar have a raised deck but you need rails around the cockpit. I just heard they purchased the Allied Richard Bertram Group.

If anyone has seen or worked on a Ferritti you know why orders are being canceled. CRN's look like they were hammered into shape by boiler makers under the water line and the engine room layouts are about as bad as they come.

Harry, it may be easier to have lagging made for the pipes. If you ever need to break the exhaust system you just clip the wires and remove and reinstall when the system goes back together.

Your oil and tranny coolers are raw water cooled and one of them may be leaking. Some Cummins also have raw water after coolers which could cause problems.

It looks like a slip fit fitting. They have a reverse thread and are glued with PVC cement or 5200. Try a little heat and turm clockwise and you may get lucky.

JK, you most likley have Tides Strong Seals. These are lip seals and allthough their not fragile I would refraine from putting any petrolium products on them. Make sure your getting cooling water to the seal.

Scott as you know by now 13.6 is the legal limit. When we towed our 25 to the UVI a few years ago we had no problem at 13.4 to the top of the radar antena.
