Yes, but never use epoxy on a exhaust tube. Use polyester as epoxy does not like the heat.

Fishing with Renegado Mike / Cabo
Linda & I spent last week in Cabo and La Paz enjoying life and fishing. We planed to fish 2 days in Cabo with a local panga captain, DR Pescado. We fished with him before and always had a great time and caught more fish with him than the high priced Pices Fleet 31's. We checked in our room at the Fi...

The shaft may never have been centered in the bronze shaft log. Just pushing the engine over is not necessarly the answer. Chances are if the engine beds are original they are punky and soft and unable to hold the lag bolts. If the hose for the packing gland is original it should also be replaced. T...

Chuck, either the gear in the helm is worn out or the groves on the cable are squashed and causuig extra fricton. Try pulling the cable and checking it out. The 25 has a glassed in deck and it sits real close to the stringers on the moppie, flybridge and hardtop. The old express and bahia mar have a raised deck but you need rails around the cockpit. Basicly there is no room for saddle tanks. The last flybridge I repowered with 3.0's ran close to 30 knot...

Before you lap you should blue the taper and install the prop and remove to see how much contact you have with the taper, 85% is the minimum allowable contact. Here's another link for wind speeds. I've been following it for a while now and it's pretty close to the actual conditions. http://www.buoyweather.com/buoyreports.htm is another really good one that shows actual wave hieghts.

You also have to consider the conditions on the bank. It could get ugly really fast as you approach the Bahama Bank.
