Absolutly!!!! Marine pumps have the overflow return to the carb if the diaphram goes bad and they are consiterably heavier in construction. It could be a pain in the ass installing the pump so you might as wall do it once the right way.

Bruce, I know there are two different ways of thinking when chaning oil. Some like to heat the oil to get the inpurities floating and some like to change it cold or room temp. I perfer to change it cold espicially when sucking from the bottem of the oil pan, what's your thoughts.

We just got a quote for insurance for our 63 31SF and I would like to see how it compares to what some of you guys are paying. Pete recently surveyed it and it has a average condition rating. $60,000 coverage is $2981.00 with a 8% deductiable ($4800.) This also includes $10,000 of personal equipment...

Dick, I would start by checking the piston seals then the fittings. You may need someone to turn the wheel to find the leak. If all fittings and piston look good start looking at any possiable areas where the lines may be chaffed. I'm assuming you have plastic lines not the old copper tubing.

when installing shaft zinks you have to set them with a hammer after inital tightening. There is a little circle outside which sits above the little anode, give it few shots with a lump hammer on each side and retighten. You should never have a zink slip down the shaft if installed properly.
