I was watching Ship Shape today. The episode discussed how to install on board air conditioning. The raw water intake was installed through hull, with no seacock and run through a plastic bowl strainer.

Maybe I'm too cautious, but does that not seem smart to any one else on here?

Having had the opportunity to bob around in a life raft for a few hours I can tell you this. When the swell rolls a bit there is sometimes a nice break about 1.5 miles south of FI inlet. I haven't rode it, nor would I, I like the beach nearby when I'm on a board. That open ocean stuff just don't seem natural.

JSPIEZIO, is there a Head planned for this project ? According to Carl there will be! It looks tight but he says trust him. He has had a very free hand on this boat. He wanted the side exhausts to alleviate back draft of fumes. Which works for me because the women in the family don't love the smell...

I don't know. My experience is when salt water is involved I should just KISS. That helps minimize the amount of trouble I get myself into. On paper this sounds great, I just don't want to be the test vehicle.
