I thought that the when two vessels in open water under power and showing no restrictions approach each other at 90 degrees, then the vessel approaching from starboard has the right of way (Stand on vessel). If the Give way vessel fails to avoid, then the stand on vessel must do so. Seems CGA is ini...

...an 11 sec. Aspen with a cut-in sunroof........I raced an RM250 at Bridge also ( I think in '76) . The road track (like the MX track) seemed to be pretty much a horsepower track. Never was a GM guy until I got my '71 Z-28 (which I sold when I got our current house built). Learned to love the gene...

I raced motocross there a few times. Great place. I think a few guys here (Mike O and Timmy?) road-raced there. Raced an RM250 there many times. Also remember racing at Hot Water Street. Mike O and Timmy- what did you guys race there? John_ I'll even admit to hunting quail, pheasant, and partridge ...

30 years ago by me it was the spot on 25A in Fort Salonga just east of Northport where it goes dead straight for a mile or so. I had a '65 GTO 389 4 speed. Friend had a 70 Challenger 383 4 spd in that purple color that peeled (plum crazy--amazing what you can remember) that he spun out and hit a wa...

Awesome job on the desk!!! Considering your desk probably won't be seeing much salt water, I'd give a 1-part paint a shot. You can always sand it off or test it on the interior parts. I had good luck painting my rudder shelf areas of my bilge with Interlux Brightsides, it's a 1-part paint and with ...

Very nice of you Walter. I hope the line is extremely successful. Brewster, I sent my Mom and Dad to your place either last weekend or the weekend before. They are starting to blur together. Agree with Harry, always have multiple redundant systems. The Blackfin has two GPS and a Loran, along with SSB, Two VHFs, and SAT phone. The same are being installed on the B31, and always, always carry charts. Shoot, I even have a Loran and a GPS on my 25 Hydrasport that I run around the bay in (th...

John- from my experience, and based on the fact that these are new never run engines I would do takee least invasive, least labor intesive approach possible. 4 blade props on a B31
My dad is putting 4 blade props on his 31 at Elite. I keep hearing that they cruise more efficiently. Is this so? If it is so, would it pay to swap 3 blades out of a 32 Blackfin and add 4 blades? I know this is rather vague info, and something that has probably been discussed before. I am hoping to ...

i would suggest you do what you want and put a sheet of glass over it.. You could also paint the epoxy seams I would suggest one of the following methods: 1) Combine those two suggestions. Use a sheet of teak or mahogany veneer over plywood for the desk top. Then, mask off and paint the "caulk" lin...

A word of caution. If you move the jackstands and blocks when the paint is wet, you stand a good chance of droping the boat. I only know this from experiance. Most boat yards want to move the stands them selves to avoid liabilty. Take the time and let the paint kick. You could jack up a 31 with the...

Haas machines are alright, they serve my purpose very well. If your used to an aggressive approach to metal removal, they will fall short. Tolerances of +/- .0001 I tend to stay away from.
