It comes with a side scan transducer that is mounted off the transom, don't think I want to do that. If I buy a thru hull transducer, will I need to buy the pair for the side scan to wo...

Re: Prop Size
The gear ratio is 1.52:1, there was a small amount of growth on the props and shafts. I'll get the props cleaned up and try them again in the spring. I had the boat for about 5 years, 2 years on the hard for rework, gas tank, deck, rub rail, paint and etc. Put it in the water for 1 season and blew a m...

Prop Size
I have a 1977 Bertram 31 Bahia Mar with twin 454 Crusaders 330 hp 1:52 reduction. The props on the boat are 4 blade 18x18, the max rpm at wot is about 3500 rpm. I think the boat is over propped. I was reading that most 4 blade props the pitch should be .8 of the dia., this would leave me with a 18x1...

Finally installing a rub rail on my 31 this weekend. My question is: should any sealant be applied to the back of the rail or any of the mounting screws?

Bronze bolts and what sealant
While removing the rear deck and replacing the fuel tank ,I Thought it would be a good time to fix a leak on the port rudder. This leak wasn't the stuffing box but from around the flange . I removed the 4 bronze bolts that were reduced to half their dia. My question is, do I need to replace the bolt...
