Moreland Hose in Oakdale and i think Baldwin will make up hi-quality braided lines that will last forever. I have used them for years for both my diesel and gas boats. A permanent solution.

If that is the medium blue FBC with a Jupiter, FL hailing port, I know the boat. It belongs to a Easthampton guy that Walter K introduced me to years ago. It has 6BT power and some nice custom work. I invited him to Greenport a few years ago and he could not make it.

Anthony, Sounds to me that the turbo is siezed. Pull the air cleaner assembly and see if you can rotate the turbo shaft freely in both directions. Still trying to measure mine which was lowered when I replaced it. The lower profile, in my opinion, improved the lines of the boat. I used welded aluminum including the deck plates. I will measure it as soon as the snow melts a bit.

Eddy - The 2750 RPM seems to be a sweet spot for the engines. At that level they sip fuel.
Bill - I am running 1.5 gears and 17 X 17 no cup. I am looking to reduce Pitch and add a number 2 cup.

Kevin, The prop shop agrees with you in keeping the cup and reducing the pitch. They stated that the addition of a number 2 cup will reduce RPM's by 100 and that reducing the pitch by 1 inch will increase the RPM's by a like amount. Further, that performance will be enhanced. I am reducing the wheel pitch on my 4LH Yannies by one inch in order to pick up an additional one hundred RPM's. I have located a set that has a slight cup. Will the cup take RPM's away from the hundred I am trying to gain. Also, what is the recommended cruise RPM for the 4LH Yannies? Thanks.

In a day and age where we can abate the smell of a decaying teamster in the trunk of a Lincoln with chemicals/compounds, a hole in a vintage Bertram seems extreme for a four ounce mouse. Next time look to plan "B".
