Thanks ....It was installed by previous owner between main engines and got salt water slung on it from packing glands. I have it apart for paint work and general maintenance. The windings look great but i will spray CX inside just to be sure. Worse case is new back half @ 1600.00

Help.....I just purchaced a low hr 5.5Northern Lights genset and it seems to have been splashed with salt water. Before i install in my boat should i spray CorrosionX into windings first to clean?Thanks Bertram Gurus

I had great results with Minwax tung oil. I like mine in a satin finish also. Keep in mind each coat will get glossier. Capt Patrick is on the money as always. If the wood is really dry i first put a coat of teak oil and let it soak in since its so thin and keeps from needing too much tung oil.

My boat is a 1986 model. and i have a pair of 4blade 20/22 i might be wrong but i dont think i can swing that much wheel. Do you think a Bertram31 is easier to push. The Tiara is 12ft wide. I was thinking of pitching to 20/20 for the sea trial. I would hate to have too much wheel for that. Any input...
