If I remember correctly, in some of the earliest print ads for the 31---Bertram touted that the chines were above the water which enabled the boat to spin on a dime docking or fighting a fish.

How many hours did this take?

How hard would it be to fabricate in stainless? I know the Bertram Riva 25's had stainless frames.

I have a transmission leak in the back of the tranny-I think it is a rear seal--also have my deck out as I am replacing the tank. How difficult a job is it to replace the seal now that i have good accessability?

Any special tools needed?

ORIGINAL BOAT TEST

Does anybody know if a boat test was ever publisehed for a 31 when it was introduced to the market?

I have copies of 20 and 25 models, but never saw a 31. As it was very innovative at time of introduction 1961, would expect to see some print coverage.
