I am redoing the dash panel----I have already rechromed the the surround and flat panel----but after looking a some custom jobs would like to have a engine turned panel---not sure if i should have one made out of aluminum or stainless and where to have it cut and finished---any ideas?

I saw a 30 foot Riva Sunriva in a showroom the other day---twin diesels inboards with 3 bladed stainless props---never come accross stainless for inboards- any reason why not? Blade design looked like a cleaver.

i was told not to use the GFO on rudders only shafts--also thought my packing was leaking but after adjusting determined that the leak was from the base or the bedding ---needed to drop shaft and rebed the port.

A split tail mullet with egg sinker under the jaw was always a favorite of the Cat Cay fishery-I remember seeing Murray Brothers rig one on one of their videos---when done correctly it swims great.

It is in the yard that is north of Travelers-I don't know the name----There a few large Vikings and Hatteras there----it is in the middle of the block---the bertram was shrink wrapped for a number of years----never saw the original name.

If you read the current Marlin issue---they have tested a new 32 jarret bay-with this outdrive-jackshaft to a diesel. I think it is rated for 700ftlbs of torque.

need to be carefull with dark hulls---i have seen a few where it shows the print thru of the fiberglass---i think an extra step is necessary to prevent---it just gets too hot.

Where can i get a photo tach for reasonible $$?

Concening gas motors how crucial is loading, when people refer to diesels, it seems to be #1 concern.

My owners manual also gives a broad range for max RPM---i think it is 4600-5000, where should i be?

the 26 was a fiberglass production boat----i believe the 29 wood boat was the prototype. the 26 was a well finished boat and this was reflected in the price, they were more expensive than a 31 betram. i don't think the strike is nearly as pretty, as the 26 has some nice rounded features. like a 31--...

The one on yacht world has a single--i have seen 3-4 over the years-all with twins.

Also the one on yacht world has been customized with that raised coaming in the front---i have seen all with flush decks--some with windshields.
