If she does have saddle tanks--there should be a couple of extra fuel overflow vents on the hull sides.

As it is a gas boat---there is a possibility that the boat had saddle tanks installed----when I bought mine it had them and they were leaking ---they were located outboard of the exhaust and muffler----I think they were about 40 gallons each--long a narrow---

I have owned two 31's---a 1970 & my current 1977------both had the drain plug located in the main cabin between the water tank and v-berth bulkhead.

I get a lot of black streaks on my bridge-----I think a lot of the streaks come from the bridge cover---I wash the boat weekly but the cover not so much----I usually use pure wax or cleaner wax (Mothers) ---streaks come off fairly easy.

looking at the restored 31 in the indoor storage---the windows frames look pretty bright----do you think they are just polished aluminum or do you think they were fabricated out of SS?

I think the curved windows and stainless frames were the best improvements Riva added----too bad they didn't make 31's.

A two piece mold does not mean the boat is built in 2 sections and put together. The mold is in two pieces that are bolted together and the boat is laid up as one piece. As the tumble home prevents the the hull from being pulled vertically out of the mold---the mold needs to be unbolted and moved aw...

Just read through this thread fast-----I didn't see anyone refer to the two part bridge------

I have only seen one other boat like this----it was an early boat as well---blue hull with a tuna tower call the "Stroker" last time I saw it it was docked in Point Lookout, NY-------

Boat looks sweet-----do you know who did the work?

L & H is in Stuart and they restored a few Bertrams----if it was them----they did it the right way.

I don't like the guage bezel offset like that and the shifter looks funky.......

100 % not a Bertram-----some of the lines are similar to an Allmand ----the spacing of the outdrives seems wrong-they are very far apart.

There was a PEPPER in Brielle/Pt Pleaseant----I think the owner moved up to a 35 ----which is docked at Robinson's in Glimmer Glass.

I don't believe the bridge was ever widened. But I have seen a couple of flybridge boats where the bridge was added as separate part.

I am not sure if there was ever time where Bertram or another company offered a bridge to add the hardtop models.

I have a picture of one with a tuna tower that competed in Cat Cay Tuna Tournaments---THUNDERBIRD---the model was offered to the public---up until now the only other besides the brochure boat that I have seen.

Was just reading a boating magazine and saw a new 36 Everglades with triple 350 yamahas listed for $673K---- a new 35 Bertram with diesels doesn't seem out of line for the current market.

I had issues this year with stalling on one motor---although I did not have any fuel issues----finally tracked it down to a ignition module----after replacing electric fuel pump and coil.
