These picnic boats. Last season I was cruising inside the bay when I noticed a picnic boat gaining on me. Never one to shake off a race, I throttled up and was WOT as he passed to stbd. They were laughing, my wife screaming, so what to do?

I would close the intake valve where the raw water comes into the boat. Take the hose off the valve. Open that valve. The water should flow in big time. If it dosen't, then there is something clogged there. Time for a swim! OR take the hoses off that goes into the risers. Start the engine and see if...

Randall, too much steam could be that the manifolds/risers/end caps are not torqued enough. I had a steam problem ( Maureen says look at the white smoke coming out) and it wasn't that bad. But the fresh water cooling system needed extra coolant on each trip. Retightened the risers on the port engine...

Every summer, I mean EVERY SUMMER, we read about the crazies off Montauk in kayaks being pulled out to sea, guys in scuba gear with life vests fishing off shore, people being yanked off rocks that were exposed @ low tide but now the tides high.

The wire cable broke off at the ducer on my boat.Bought another ducer with the 20 feet or so of cable but the end that goes into the head would not fit at the dashboard. So I was advised here to splice the cable to the old one and it worked.
