You already know that you will need an interface box to convert the analog data to nema 2000. There are a number of manufacturers of these and do your research and check reviews of actual users. Pricing is in the 600k with genset to start. If sales increase so will price. Power is cat 7 liter to start then 7.1 but they aren't available yet. 450hp. Solid laid up hull no coring, although it was discussed more to come

It all depends on how much in the way of 220vac items you are going to use on whether the load gets semi balanced because no gen load split 220/120 is ever perfectly balanced.
If all your running is 120vac stuff then your original question on conversion was not an option to begin with.

Being a caddie guy, I got a 58 caddie in the shop that we put a LSA supercharged new caddie engine in with a full 4 link custom suspension with air ride.
We got the air ride up and working yesterday.

black smoke sounds like lack of air flow or something loading up the engine like a rope around the prop. Like has been said remove air intake, take your finger and see if the turbo spins. There is no reason you shouldn't get high hours out of theses engines if they have been well maintained. Paper records can be faked so an oil sample is wise.
