Re: Which Isspro Fuel Sending Unit
John, I would use the 23" unit and the standard ohm is 240-33. Old SW guages use this but give isspro the model of your SW guage when ordering to make sure. If you still have you can measure the old sender for the resistence. Use a volt, ohm meter set to r1. One probe on center connection, the other...

Have your mechanic look at them. Most marine pumps can be taken apart to look at the diaphragms for degrading or cracks.
If you ran good filters, carbs should have no issues. Easy enough to pop the tops and check for debris in the bowl.

Re: value in maintaining original design?
Like anything, it's worth what someone is willing to give for it or what the market supports which doesn't mean you always get your total investment out of a project on resale.
I remember a time people were dumping 250 to over 300k into 31's. Eventually that market tanked.

Mat, The relays reverse the polarity that changes direction of the windlass. You don't need any more than one breaker on the positive feed if you want to simplify things. The important thing is the breaker being rated to protect the wire size. 15 amp #14 20 amp #12 30 amp #10 40 amp # 8 50 amp #6 70...

Mark,
Balmar and electromaax list them for most of yanmar engines but not the 6lp. It may be because of the fluid damper and the pulley groove is behind the damper, not in front.
A call to them might be fruitful.
