Installed a crap load of them along with every other manufacturer.

Garmin is the king of GPS.

I have had numerous out of the box failures on sounder modules and some plotters also. No more than any other brand though.

being you have only ran for an hour since sept and fueled up at an old marina, I would look toward old degraded fuel.

Do the smell test. If bad, have it pumped out and tank cleaned.


Edited to add:
Don't try and use additives to recover the fuel at this point if that's what the problem is.
