With the higher pressure your right, the amonut of fuel injected would have been greater leading to fouling.

Fuel pressure readings are important to diagnosing FI systems.

That would have eliminated electric issues.

Repowered both stock and prop pocketed 31's.

Standard- Yanmar 6LP 315hp 33 knots wot.

Prop Pocket- Cummins QSC common rail 330hp 34.9 wot.

Estimated cost to be able to swing the extra prop for a 1.9 knot gain, $14,000.00.

Only when dealing with engines in the higher rpm ranges.

You couldn't swing a prop under a 31 with a Cummins with a 2:1 gear without going to an absurd pitch.

1.5:1 would be better than the 1.23:1. But they will work.
