Re: All I can say is thank God it doesn't snow in Florida

When I went to the west coast Clearwater area for my first Yanmar service school over 20 years ago and saw a sign on a resturant that advertised fried mullet on a stick, I quickly realized that was not the place to be for good seafood.

Re: All I can say is thank God it doesn't snow in Florida

Pete, Fire and rednecks go together like carver and howdy boating. If rednecks had an official crest, it would have a blazing inferno as part of it. I believe after our first snow, the state would be burnt to a crisp. But I do believe there would be those who would shoot at it hoping the friction of...

All I can say is thank God it doesn't snow in Florida

Fargo, ND – Local resident Todd Fox has been detained for “reckless endangerment” and “illegal use of high-powered fire-breathing weaponry” for attacking snow with his flamethrower. Fox reportedly became so fed up with the week-long blowing snow epidemic in his area that he decided to KILL IT WITH F...

Re: DC Wiring during Repower

John, You have it correct. I've seen numerous times where a ignition loop was run to the dc panel and connected to the panel and tied in. Without isolating the port and stb circuits, the house, port and stb are all connected creating numerous situations where if one is anchored on house power it wil...

John,
I believe that statement was for creating 24 or 32 volt systems series paralleling 12v batteries. Your not doing that.
If your putting two 31's together for each engine, go for it.

Re: DC Wiring during Repower

John, You have to be careful with the panel wiring if your using 3 separate circuits, house, port eng and stb eng. If you run a circuit off each engine up to the panel don't take the feed off the panel itself otherwise you will combine the three circuits and will cause issues. Run the ignition/on fo...

Any advantage to going slightly oversized? Groco part # APHS-2000 specs for a max thru hull of 2". That unit is 10.25" long x 4.38" wide. APHS-3000 specs for a max of 3" and is 15.38 long x 6" wide. John, You will have to throw everything out from the hull up on those intakes. Gas was 1-1/4. Those Cummins will be 1.75" and up depending on hp and how you route and length of hose. 1st rule .........There are no rules, but that can change at any time depending on Pat's, Mike's and my mood.
2nd rule ........Any talk of feelings results in a lifetime ban and a visit from Hillary's "cleaner" to your home.
3rd rule ........Refer to rule number 1.
