Although I'm fairly well convinced that the Yanmar 230 has enough grunt to go somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.85 to 1. I think that it would allow for the use of a square prop (20X20) while maintaining cruising speed and proper engine loading, without burning the prop tips.

Just my 2 cents......

It WILL be slower in reverse, unless you have some new fangled, variable pitch propellers, and a double ended boat.

I would be shocked if you make more than 3 knots.

I start them in the morning and shut down in the evening. The only time that I shut down while at sea is while tied up over night, and never until after starting the generator.

What sort of bottom conditions would you most likely be attempting to anchor in? That's really the key to selecting the proper anchor.

The size of the boat simply helps you figure out the size of the anchor, not the right type....

It turns out that the best candidate to fuel future fission reactors is H3. H3 is created on the Sun, and ejected via solar flare into the solar system. Our atmosphere pretty much shields Earth from it, but it is relatively plentiful in places where there is no atmosphere. And so I say to you..........

I don't know how many of you have full size Ford vans, but I have two of them. They're good trucks, but the cup holders are really more cup 'launchers' than anything else. Frankly, they suck.

Here's a quick fix, that only took me 4 years to come up with.
