Bob,

The problem is that you will NEVER find water in the gas tanks any more. It is all absorbed by the ethanol. That water paste has to actually be in pure water to turn green.......

The 20 is a MUCH bigger boat than the 19. The 19 is great for fishing alone or with a friend. More than two.....get the 20.

I have an Oregon 400c and it's a great unit. Get that, a couple of LED flashlights that use the same batteries, and bunch of strobe lights that also use the same batteries.

And keep a bunch of batteries on board.

There are lots of boats that have the rudders out on the transom. Tearing one off won't sink the boat.......

Having more hull behind the props will help to keep the nose down, sort of like a giant trim tab.

Rough water, can't see the buoy. Bow goes down and the pulpit catches the chain at the bottom of the buoy. Bow comes up, chain rips the foredeck off.

Bow goes back down, (still at 20 knots) and the rush of water blows out the amidships bulkhead and the transom.

This question always results in many answers...... If you spend a bunch of time in rough water, the glass mat batteries will probably last a bit longer. They can take the pounding quite a bit better because there are no plates to break. If you spend most of your time in the bay, they probably aren't...
