STOP!!!!!

Carbon fiber needs special resin and needs to be cured in an autoclave. It doesn't wet and cure like fiberglass. I don't know about kevlar, so I can't help with that.

Epoxy and carbon fiber would be no stronger than epoxy alone........

Storm was massive in NYC. 12 to 14 foot drifts of heavy wet snow. Cars stuck in the middle of every small street, blocking the plows. 50 mph winds.

The roofs are all bare from the wind. One side of a street might be clear, while the other side is burried. This was about as bad as I've ever seen here.

With 230 Yanmars I'm at 3100 rpm, 23.5 knots, 13.5 gph total.

That's 1.7 kmpg.

With the 454's I was at 3000 rpm (right before secondaries opened), 18 knots, 25.5 gph total.

That's 0.7 kmpg.

If the secondaries ever opened, a shark fishing trip would have used a tank of fuel......

The 90 degree long tubes don't fit. I think there's a short tube that might fit.

The 90 degree holders are more for bent butt rods, which should probably not be in the transom anyway.
