There are some models that won't fit through the door, but will fit through the front window if you remove it. You may also have to remove the door from the fridge.

Guess how I know that........

Do you still have windows on your boat?

The larger one may not be able to pull it. It may need more clearance than you have.

I've always used a gear puller, because I never liked the idea of wailing on the shaft with a 4 pound hammer. But to be honest, the prop pullers work better........

I think what Mike was talking about is offshore trolling where the boat noise has a big part in raising fish. I never heard about 4 blade being better...but lots of things I never heard about. I was actually referring to the way that the boat makes it's wake, but the sound factor can't be discounte...

Will take 2 inch's of pitch and call it day 21x22 light to medium cup I would still advise 21X20 or 20X21 three blade with a more severe cup, especially at the tip. 340 Diesel HP is barely enough to cruise at 17 knots.

420 HP pushes you to 21.

460 gets you to 25.

Yanmar 230/240 hp engines. 2:1 gears. Appropriate wheels are 20X20, 20X21, 21X20 or somewhere in there. If the boat is light, maybe 21X21 Cruise is about 22, top end is about 25, give or take a knot. Is it much worse on one side than the other? That would point to the boat next to you. Did the marina rewire anything last year? I lost my wheels about 15 years ago to a faulty ground in the marina. Did the boats next to you have the same problem? If so, did they have more loss of metal on the side ...

OR, you can do the same thing, only the bottom tube can be narrower than the gin-pole and fit into it rather than the gin pole slip into it. Thats the way I did it, I also added a teflon sleeve inside the pole so it slides with ease around the bottom part. Yes, if you can find the right sized base....

The gin pole obviously goes through a 4.5" hole in the panel. Below it, next to the battery tray, is a piece of wood which is glassed to the srtingers. A piece of 3" pipe with a welded flange on the bottom is bolted to the wood. The 4" gin pole slips onto the 3" pipe nub (about 6" high) and is held ...
