Same prep. Rough up the surface, clean well, go to work.
MAS makes a great epoxy product. I'm guessing that most others are also fine.
You don't need to gelcoat. The inside of your boat is uncoated fiberglass. No harm in it being wet. Paint won't hurt it, antifouling paint included.

Re: Epoxy on polyester
Basic rule of thumb. Epoxy is an adhesive. Polyester is not an adhesive. Poured monolithically, they are roughly equal in strength. Polyester resin is much less expensive than epoxy. That's why boat builders use it. I'm not suggesting that polyester resin isn't sticky. It is. So is chewing gum, but ...

Any suggestions on a truck that can tow at least 7500# and 4 full size doors and at least a 6.5' bed? My last truck was a F-150 I loved it. We have twin girls at 4, so a easy to access back seat is a must and I keep my trucks for a long time. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Ford-F-250/143905460315?ha...

Wheel suggestions: 20X21 4 20X22 3 20X23 3 21X20 4 21X21 3 21X22 3 Each will give a slightly different wake pattern when trolling, which will also change with how the boat is sitting in the water at any given time. Re: Requirement of backer board for stern cleats?
The purpose of those roughly triangular hawseholes is to set the direction of pull of the stern lines in relation to the cleats. This causes the force on the aft cleats (and more importantly, their hardware) to be in shear, not tension. Since we're now talking about shear strength, the cross section...

I believe that the boat was manufactured prior to the Title Era. You'll likely have to have the police check the hull ID to see if it's reported stolen, and then register it as a salvage. A bit of a hassle but doable.
