Re: Gas Powered boats 3 blade vs 4 blade

There was a noticeable improvement in close quarters handling and docking. I also feel the boat ran more smoothly with a little less vi...

I went in 2019. It was awe striking, stunningly beautiful, and the fishing was terrific. Great trip with B31 folks, and my Dad and brother. A week or so there was a big fire in Mystic. One of the main buildings at Seaport Marine burned completely to the ground. Among other things in the building was a 31 that had been undergoing a slow restoration by the owners of the yard. It had been a Fishers Island boat, and they bought it with the ...

I have seen a couple of instances where because the original storm track was predicting a Tampa Bay bull's-eye, people moved their boats to Fort Myers in an effort to get out of the way. That may explain some. But if you own the marina and you're truly worried about it, you're not letting anybody ti...

So, I used to use two zincs per shaft and invariably they would loosen due to their intended purpose. The galvanic corrosion ate metal and it would loosen and then as many here have described, slide down the shaft. Bad primarily because once loose it didn’t provide protection any longer. Fast forwar...

My friend Marshal owns a mid 80s vintage Bertram 28. He re-powered it about 10 years ago with what I believe are marine power 350s.
