Re: Turbo's on my Yanmar 240's

Bruce, No, my exhaust does not sit below water consistently. And there is a good amount of down angle. It has been checked out by my dealer and for whatever its worth the install was approved originally by Mack Boring. I have a good run from the entrance to the harbor to my slip, so she always idles...

Turbo's on my Yanmar 240's

Some may remember I had to replace my starboard turbo last year. This year the Port turbo went, same reason, same failure mode. Evidence points to water ingestion from the outflow side. Mack Boring is indecisive and not very consistently communicative as of now, and my goal is to determine cause to ...

One of my best friends is the 4th in line to carry his name. Hence he is Brooke Tyler IV.

His boat is named "IV PLAY"

:)

We make his wife make the marina reservations.

Then there was the boat he wanted to name for a friend. "MILF" which translated to Man I Love Fishing!!!!!

Russ, I am right there with Pat. Teak and I have a long history. Tip Top is my primary go to product. Its followed second by Interlux now which I discovered when Tip Top closed up for a bit. Gert, I adore teak. I love the contrast, the warmth, and the look. I have waffled on covering boards, and may at some point. But I like teak I can oil, not varnish. Another AC question, where to locate the cooling outflow?

I am installing the through hulls myself. Not the first time I have done this stuff. Here is what is being proposed so far. Install the ac unit itself in the cabinetry behind the refrigerator. Anyone have a source for Starboard louvers for AC? the installer wants to use a 45 degree one on the outlet he is going to put up under the front window. I offered to make my own, but before I do that, I want to know if there are any pre-made options. Any ideas?
