Plastic is the ONLY way to go for that option.
Trust me.
Metal leaves black streaks. Its amazing how few streaks occur when you switch to the plastic with the stainless cap rail.

Re: Cabo Yachts to stop production temporarily
This spring a broker friend of mine told me he had sold a late 90's 48' Hatteras in really nice shape for under $100,000. After my jaw hit the floor, I asked why. He said that it was just stupid expensive to run. To go to Block Island and back cost nearly $1000 in fuel, not to mention dockage etc. I...

As many of you know I am tackling a good sized project with Alchemy this winter at Brewer Street Boatworks in Newport. Many years ago I had almost all of my chrome parts re-chromed by Dave Mitchell at American Electro plating. I may be doing a few again this winter. The bad news is that on the way back from Watch Hill, RI on Saturday pm, in the dark, I nailed the Stonington Point nav mark, which is a jr version of a red nun. Rocket and Carl give DAMNED GOOD ADVICE. I've owned Alchemy for pushing 17 years now. She and I have been through a lot together. I was actually serious about Canadian. It was the accent that gave it away, not the way they ran the boat. From what I saw anyway.

I am wrestling with the shoe thing.
