I just removed mine. Mine was caulked in with silicone. A razor knife and a flat roofing crow bar did the trick [carefull not to cut to deep or crack the glass when prying lightly].

I just read a great book about diesel engines

I always wanted a book to explain diesel engines. But I couldn't find anything interesting. I just read trouble shooting marine diesels by Peter Compton. Its a great book, lots of information in few words. I'm a pretty good driveway / dock mechanic [i've removed / replaced many engines, wiring, etc....

Hi scooter, go to yachtworld.com [it was on the 3rd page of the 28' bertram listings] #yw12744-1564627 to view white gauges in a 28 with a black dash. I hope this helps.

do diesels fit in a 28

Hi, I'm new to the site. I am rebuilding an abused 28 bertram. It is a 1984 witch has a larger engine room [in height] and larger shafts [11/4"]. Does anyone know what diesels will fit into this boat. I was told the cummins remans / or the volvos pentas were a good fit. I am rebuilding the bulkheads...
