My brother put Yanmars in his early 70's 31 about 15-20 years ago. He was one of or the first. Yanmar used his boat to advertise their engines. It was the muff diver in seaford LI NY. The engines were great, good fit, quiet, not spoke. The only problem I hear is that their not rebuildable to the lev...

last word on my knee
Mikey I'm glad that your doing ok, its amazing what doctors can do today. Its sad that people are becoming so cold [more worried about being sued or what they can gain inplace of having friends]. I was very active in boy scouts for many year, It got to the point where we so afraid of being accused o...

I just read a great book about diesel engines

Its a great book, lots of information in few words. I'm a pretty good driveway / dock mechanic [i've removed / replaced many engines, wiring, etc....

do diesels fit in a 28
Hi, I'm new to the site. I am rebuilding an abused 28 bertram. It is a 1984 witch has a larger engine room [in height] and larger shafts [11/4"]. Does anyone know what diesels will fit into this boat. I was told the cummins remans / or the volvos pentas were a good fit. I am rebuilding the bulkheads...
