A guy who has owned more boats than anyone I know had an open bridge 80ft sportsyacht and when his captain complained (again) about getting wet he sent him to buy himself the foxiest set of wet weather gear he could find, abt $2k, goretex...super lightweight...comfortable and he was king of the kids...

Frankly, I don't like ally anything....fibreglass lasts for 100yrs plus so why bother with tin, except for beer? Especially in salt water.

My vote with FL Yellow is for pale green a/foul and dark green boot top.

For the rubrail I vote just the stainless, no PVC. Then you are going to have to deal with the corner pieces......expert advice needed there.

We got the 315hp 6lpta Yanmars in 2006 and we are very happy with them....(max 32.7kn with 20x23 4-blades which is plenty+) they were old stock then but new out of the U.S. and available because they didn't pass the US EPA regs apparently...I have heard nothing but bad things about the new Yanmar/BM...

John is on to something here. Put the two boats side by side...crane in the middle...flush both tanks at the one time...adjust engine beds like for like...same for the stern tubes...re-position the shaft brackets...swap everything over...add sound-proofing to the diesel Flybridge...adjust the props ...

John, Got a bit side-tracked here...you bought a diesel Express to get the engines to put in your Flybridge... one of the major costs of the repower we did, gas to diesels, was changing the running gear, exhausts, fuel systems etc...sort of a lot of "hidden" costs. I've got a spread-sheet somewhere ...

had some coral type growth on them (not a ton) So hull was not "clean" as you were told....all other information from that source is worthless....check everything. Both sets were 28x31 3 blades Original factory issue were 28 x 30 I think you will find...check with Bertram, if so boat is/always was ...
