When we repowered we moved batteries from under the cabin sole floor to a shelf high under aft deck outboard of the fuel tank. Where they were was damp, sweating under there, were subject to a lot of movement in a head sea plus were low (ish) in the bilge. Interested to know why you are wanting to m...

Guys, Need some advice on whether we can use a sounder transducer that mounts inside the hull. I have been told that we need a 600w to 1Kw transducer for the sort of fishing we want to do but due to restrictions of space and access I would prefer not to use a through hull transducer if at all possib...

We had some weather here over the last two weeks; I ventured out in the Tennessee on the worst day: 45 -50 knots gusts, 8ft (face) "chop" on about a 15ft swell on Sydney Harbour at the Heads was as far as I went. The wave bouy that night off the Heads registered 45ft waves. Very, very impressed with...

Gary, We use Propspeed. It really stays on where other paint has blown off. It comes with the caveat that you have to use your boat a lot so it washes clean, the yard that puts it on for us swears by it and so far, 7 months, it seems OK. They tell us not to touch it but I've had to clean the props, ...
