Wayne, A couple more thoughts....on ours the supports for the side bollards are tied into the side-decks, our side-decks and the cockpt coaming are stiff and firm and the transom coaming is supported by a molded channel taking the air down from the transom air-vent...it doesn't look like they added ...

Eliminate the side panels. Works great, lets you get your knees under, (OK crouching down a bit), opens up the cockpit and looks good.

That would explain a lot. We've never come close to running dry but I just knew we weren't getting accurate "fill" figures, until now. So, they went 160g, 172g then 220g....anyway for our long trips we will use a bladder of some sort...another post another time.
