White spots that look like water spots. Cover as in a boat house(shade). No Clorox, too even all over.
She was stripped and primed before paint.

Awlgrip problem
When we painted Dreamsicle that pale orange it was a special mix from Awlgrip, actually Awlcraft. After five years (mostly covered) white spots started appearing in the paint. Just before launch we resprayed the stern and the results are the same as the rest of the boat. They are not water spots as ...

Peter, Thanks for the tour through site fishing for stripers. Haven't done it yet. Have cast to them while they're schooled under a bunch of bunkers. Like shooting fish in a barrel. Did I really say that? About to pull Dreamsicle for the winter. Sad. Took a cruise of the creek and Rappahannock yeste...

Two quickies on the colonoscopy. First, if you're having it done in the winter ignore the Doc's suggestion that the Holly-go-lightly cocktail is tolerable cold. After downing a gallon of that stuff (vodka doesn't help) I damn near froze to death. Lowered my body temp two points. Second, had both col...

If that was BJ's boat he bought it from a member of the Faithful in FL. Told the story at a UVI. He didn't know who the purchaser was, even after meeting him. Just some guy who flew in to look at and then buy his 31. Later someone at his marina who saw the purchaser identified him for our member. Vi...

When rebuilding our dock and boat house we put down ipe decking. Tried a finish for that brown look. After two attempts we sanded it off and went natural. Looks great after five years. No issues. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x54/mikeylikesitnow/P2010001_1.jpg Well, you can't really see it unde...

In the middle of Earl here in Tidewater Virginia. Earl has maintained his Republican status by moving to the right and leaving the Old Dominion fairly unscathed. Virginia Beach is getting some tropical force winds, rain and high surf but all-in-all were Otay. Supposed to be sunny and in the 90's lat...

Hueso,
Trying to reach friends on Tortola to no avail. Power is probably out. Heard that the Bomba Shack was a casualty. How sad. Bomba will have the local rabble out scouring the beach and neighborhood for scrap lumber and tin to rebuild. CAn't do without that bar. What would we do at the full moon?

Second time in two weeks I have heard this. Was with a friend looking at 31's and a broker told me about it on early 31's. He said he had it removed (straightened) from his 1962 fly bridge and increased the speed rather appreciably. Never rode in his boat but his story seemed a bit far fetched. Has ...

Mike, Having lived on the hook for a couple of years I can give you a few suggestions. First 40 feet of line in fifteen feet of water is not enough unless it is very calm and you're there just for lunch. Your safe "scope" (the ratio of anchor line to the depth should be at least 7 - 1, but for safet...

and there's this one.
Obama and McChrystal are conversing in the oval office and it is not going well for the general. The president surmises same and to lighten the mood says to the general, "I suppose when I die you will come piss on my grave." "No Sir Mr. President, I swore that when I got out of the service I would n...

No more??? It's like childbirth, in time women forget the pain and some guy sweet talks them and . . We'll see! If you have time and inclination I would love to see the progression of the "dished out look" of the entrance to the V berth. The open look gives the impression if not the actual space of ...
