Happy St. Patrick's Day - My favorite Irish tale
Nicolas Sarkozy, The French President, is sitting in his office when his telephone rings. "Hallo, Mr. Sarkozy!" a heavily accented voice said. "This is Paddy Down at the Harp Pub in County Clare, Ireland. I am ringing to inform you that we are officially declaring war on you!" "Well, Paddy," Sarkozy...

Got the after coolers out and apart and thankfully they are in good shape. Pulled the covers off each end, dried them is much as possible and used Vic's magic elixir, Corrosion-X, to separate the coolers from their casing. Sprayed and left over night and, voila!, out they came with the aid of a hamm...

Wow! Two things come to mind. First, the end justifies the means. That had to be an immense mental project not to mention the physical work. Second, quick, somebody give this guy a boat to do or he'll have the entire flatlands of Texas irrigated and set out in rice paddies by fall. Patrick, as alway...

Bruce, Noticed that one of my zincs unscrewed inside the aftercooler. How do I get it out, short of removing the aftercoolers? Also, Can't I do the aftercooler cleaning myself? UV, years ago, gave the instructions he had used which included removal, disassembly, muriatic acid and rodding and serious...

A friend using his high-school French in Paris to impress his new bride tried to order orange juice for breakfast and got an artichoke. Only the arrogant Americans. Did you see the new Sports Illustrated's cover girl on the Today show? She is from a small town in rural Russia and speaks English bett...

Back in the 70's while traveling down the inter coastal we passed the Cape during a night launch. We were about ten miles away and when they lit off those Roman candles you could read the fine print on a car dealer's contract. One of the most awe-inspiring man-made sights I have ever witnessed. Grea...

Costs on Tortola for residential construction average about $300 per sq. ft. This is usually a concrete house built over a cistern with metal roof. I make this sound very simplistic but the builders on island are capable of some very nice and intricate work, depending on the builder of course. Many ...

A week from today and we're there. One more blast from the frozen North. Love our Canadian neighbors but this time of year I'd like to close the borders to their weather. May I sell anyone here a piece of paradise? Let me know. http://michaelkennedysite.com/business/belmont-estates/Belmont-Brochure....

Oyster saute redux
Vic, Did an oyster saute for the Club's annual meeting. Quadrupled the recipe you gave and they went berserk! wanted to take a picture of them leaving the kitchen but the trays emptied as fast as I filled them. Never had a reaction like that for anything I've ever prepared. Coincidentally at the mee...

Gents, This is a terrific book. As one who loves to cook I have found Walter's book invaluable for the seafood lover in me. The recipes were collected from captains around the country and have short stories about each of them. It is richly illustrated so that even non-cooks can do the deeds. If not ...

When I was 13, I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend with big hoots. When I was 16, I got a girlfriend with big tits, but there was no passion, so I decided I needed a passionate girl with zest for life. In college I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional. Everything was an emer...

Chiles, Sent some to my Chairman in FL. He is from the Bay and said they were the best in years. Had some left over from an event a few weeks ago and hung them in the creek in a crab pot. Took them to the Club and roasted them for the guys. There was a stampede at the bar, and for once it wasn't for...
