Tried to call Walt a few minutes ago (1:04p.m. Friday) and he was discharged at Noon.
Now I need a home phone. Any help?

UV raw water pump impellers
Vic,
Sometime back I believe you did a post on raw water pump impellers. I tried, to no avail to search it out. Who's impellers were you touting? Is there a serial # on the pump itself or will my engine serial # be enough. Also where do I buy them?
Thanks

Dreamsicle is an express. My favorite model. I understand why you off-shore boys want the sport fish or flybridge cruiser but that's why God invented towers. For the kind of fishing done in the Bay and tributatries and the creek cruising the captain/helmsman is in the cockpit with the other fisherme...

Thudddddd, As an actor I have been describing my self as a bolding, middle-aged white guy. My Bride informed me sometime back that the balding part is incorrect as the last fell out years ago, she also tells me the middle was long ago; so, am I still a white guy at least? I aint looking in the mirror.

Walt, Looks like I was the forward scout for this item. Knee gets better on a daily basis. Slept through the night with only two awakenings. Both times my middle-aged bod needed to pee. A couple of caveats. Do as Bruce said, don't push it to get well too quickly. Our crowd by nature seems to be impa...

Dreamsicle - getting it together - shifting question
In no particular order I am going to start plying the Faithful with questions hoping not to have to reinvent the damn wheel. One - Dreamsicle came with badly corroded Morse MT-3 shift unit which I would gladly replace with new except that it appears from my research that they are still making the sa...

Thanks again U.V. for the reminder shot in the shorts. It's in the mail. Moved my first post-surgical appointment up two weeks since I was not dancing in the aisles yet. The saw bones (literally in my case) reminded me that I did not have major surgery on the 13th of NOV but two major surgeries. He ...

One of the best shirts I ever got (rendezvous back in the '80's) showed a 35 coming off the crest of a twelve footer and about to drop unceremoniously into the trough. The caption, of course, "Thank God it's a Bertram." Like the truck idea. I still have "Best boat ever built" license plate frames on...

Last word on my knee
Thanks for all the encouraging words, Guys. Since this replacement is the culmination of a twelve-year battle as the results of an accident, I have been through and understand completely the need for and pain of P.T. In 1994 while visiting my closest friend he beached a PWC, blind sided me and pinne...

Not sure about Cabreras. There work is beautiful but not sure they are still in business. No phone. Spottu replies to emails. If they are still around they build the prettiest, most complete, most easily installed componenents. Down side is that instructions are on one sheet of paper. Check everythi...

Randall, Bertrams were made for we the short. Thank God something was. Buying clothes is a pain. The men's shops usually start just above where we are and the kids shops are either to slim or the stuff sucks. Not the reason for the call. I just finished up with Jerry Avery at American Marine. They d...

I'm back! I think. Nov 13th I checked into Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital And the deed was done. This replacement was the untimate result of an accident in '94. Where most replacements are done in two hours or so mine took about four and a half. Recovery will be about three months (instea...

Kevin, in the immortal words of Bugs Bunny, "never try to outrun something you can outsmart." Not sure humans have figured out how to outrun water 100% Rule's the Rule. Glad to hear your rant as I spend two days making a side window fit. I had planned an installation that would have been visually O.K. and then when I took a second look realized that it wasn't worthy of the rest of the work. As I soldier on with this it certainly helps moral and stimulation to hear ...

Need Faithful help with suppliers
Got a catalog from one of our favorite suppliers and they were sporting Rule bilge pumps at a great discount. As part of my due diligence I searched the internet and found www.starmarinedepot.com with prices on a lot of stuff (including said bilge pumps) cheaper than anything I had seen before. What...

I am totally verklempt. Trying to design the electrical system for Dreamsicle. Here's where I am. Pair of 6BTA-300's. That's it. I can do anything at this point and have spent restless days on the internet and sleepless nights trying to figure it all out. I'm planning this as a day boat, day fishing...

Went to the Annapolis Power Boat show to look at pieces parts. Saw lots of good stuff, learned plenty and didn't step on one new boat. Just didn't need that. Met John Patnovic from Worton Creek Marina; the guy who bought a bunch of Virginia's retired 31's and is turning them into works of art. He sa...
