Best way to secure loose rubrail screws
Hi - I have some loose rubrail screws and am wondering the best way to secure these. Most are tight, but some are loose and can't be tightened. I'm thinking a dab of 4200 or 5200, push them in, and then call it a day. Will this work and will I ever be able to get them out if I need to in the future?...

Thanks a lot for all the replies, guys - I really appreciate it. I've loved these boats since I was 12 years old and I've got a couple in mind that I'm following up on right now. I have a follow-up question for Zero Cavity. First, your boat is spectacular. Second, I see the windlass, and it's a very...

Bert 31 - what to expect?
I just sold my 30' Moppie after having it for 8 years and am looking to buy a 31. I've been a member here for a while but haven't posted much. At the risk of asking a couple of foolish questions, I'll go ahead anyway. I haven't spent a lot of time on 31s but this is the boat I want for all the reaso...

Dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway. I see the windlass on the bow but no anchor. Where do you store your anchor and how do you drop it and retrieve it with the bow chock there? I'm looking to purchase a 31 but I do a lot of cruising with my family and anchor off a lot. Most renovated 31s don't ha...

Thanks guys. I will call you Capt Dick and I also got PM'd by another member as well. The reason I thought the LI Sound would be better is if we ran into any mechanical problems (shouldn't but you never know as I have Crusader 7.4s and who knows these days with ethanol, etc) there are more marinas r...

Need a captain
Hi guys. I've been reading this site for a while although I don't post often and I don't personally know many of you. I have a 1995 30' Moppie and I'm looking to see if any of you are or know of a captain that would be interested in a one day venture. The boat is currently in Mantoloking, NJ and I n...
